In the beer garden of the Coach and Horses, Expettations held their first dog show. The show open to all dogs was a fun family event to promote responsible dog ownership. Large and small, pedigree and mongrel collected to compete in a variety of classes.

Classes included fun classes such as the Saddest Eyes and Waggiest Tail along with the best dog and *****.

Sarah Kilbee owner of Expettations said of the show:

"Expettations first dog show in Barton has been a great success. I hope that next year to have a bigger show with more competitors."

"Thanks to Gill and Steve of the Coach and Horses for their hospitality"

In between competing in the classes the dogs could try agility and flyball. While most dogs had no difficulty with the jumps and poles, some didn't like the tunnel and no amount of treats were going to encourage them to venture through. Jess, from Expettations, advised that with training most dogs do learn how to manipulate the tunnel.

Around twenty dogs took part in the classes; Holly the Old English Sheep Dog won best ***** and Henry the Miniature Schnauzer the best Dog. Henry also won best in show. Owner Kay Glover said of Henry:

"He's behaved himself today at home he's a little monster"

Expettations run classes at Pasture Road ranging from basic obedience to advanced training. Courses run for 6 or 7 weeks. New courses starting in September 2011.
