Grumpy bees at the Waters Edge Barton

There is an old country theory that you must tell the bees
any important news, well down at the Waters Edge in Barton they must have
forgotten. They have a distinct case of grumpy bees.
The access road by car park and storage compound has been cordoned
off to prevent a Health and Safety issue of people getting stung. The bees
housed in the storage area are alarmed and a little distressed.
Rangers and staff are encouraging people to use other access
points to the country park to avoid the area where the bees are.
When asked what had caused the problem with the bees the
ranger said:
"We don't know but we are asking people to avoid this area
for their own safety"
There is no cause for concern but access along the service
road is temporarily suspended, access to the park is through the gate just
below the road gates or off the path running along the Humber.
