    Ballot: Barton MP Martin Vickers is carrying out his own referendum, asking constituents whether they are in favour of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union.

    PASSENGERS were forced to evacuate a bus after a split water hose caused steam to come from the engine. Stagecoach confirmed passengers had to abandon the Humber Fastcat 350 bus this morning (Wednesday, May 21), at the top of Ferriby Road, with the junction of Gravel Pit Lane in Barton.     WORK to install new toll booths on the Humber Bridge has started. This is part of a multi-million-pound scheme to modernise the way toll charges are collected.
